With their orders between April 17 and 19, JAKO-O customers not only received quality products, they also did a good deed. For every order that was received in this time period, the mail-order company donated two euro to the aid organization A.M.P.O. in Burkina Faso. This added up to almost 24,000 euro, which will help orphans and people in need in the West African country.
“Only with education the children of today can lead independent lives as the adults of tomorrow in their home country”.
JAKO-O has been supporting the association, which was founded almost 25 years ago by Katrin Rohde, for many years. The German woman started out by establishing orphanages, which are today a safe home for around 120 children in the bitterly poor country. They have enough to eat, go to school, receive training or study. “Only with education can the children of today lead independent lives as the adults of tomorrow in their home country, and develop Burkina Faso” – Katrin Rohde says, convinced. A.M.P.O also runs an agricultural school, sheltered workshops, health clinics and a home for abandoned pregnant women and young mothers living with HIV/AIDS.
More information about the work of A.M.P.O. can be found at www.sahel.de.
And anyone who wants to get to know Katrin Rohde in person has an opportunity to do so at the JAKO-O Family Convention on the 22nd and 23rd of November, 2019 in Bad Rodach.
